Ryuga branch cutter - curved blade, 20 cm, stainless steel.

The branch cutter with the curved blade is actually used like the classic cutter for removing branches clean and straight at the base without leaving any knob. However, due to the curved blade, the cut at the base of the trunk already results in a slight hollowing. This partially saves the need to rework the wound, as is often necessary with the cut of a normal concave cutters. In contrast to a simple pair of pliers, the blades of the branch cutters also engage one over the other when closed. This is a special quality feature of this tool and it requires a lot of experience to manufacture. However, this makes the cut of this tolls comparable to that of a pair of scissors and correspondingly clean. In addition, the arrangement makes the blades sharper for longer and more durable overall. When choosing cutters, it is necessary to take into account the fact that half the length of the blade roughly dictates the maximum diameter of the branch to be cut. So, for example, if the blade has a length of 25 mm, the branch to be cut should not be thicker than 12 mm. However, due to the curved shape of the blade, this tool is somewhat more sensitive than the classic concave cutters and especially when cutting wood that is too hard and thick, there is a risk of damage!
