Grinding sticks can be used well for sharpening and polishing curved blades. This makes them particularly suitable for sharpening bonsai tongs and carving tools. They are also good for deburring. One should avoid too much pressure on the stone, otherwise it can break easily. One uses the stone with oil or water. However, once it has been used with oil, it cannot be used with water. The grinding stick has a medium grit (1000).
