Aluminum wire is easy to work with and is available in different thicknesses. As a rule, the wire thickness should be at least half the diameter of the branch to be wired. Due to the dark color, the wire is hardly noticeable and, accordingly, less distracting when looking at the bonsai. If the tree is mature and you want to eventually display it with wire, anodized wire should be used in any case.
