Ryuga branch splitter - 27 cm, steel

Branch splitters are used especially for old pines and junipers, when thick branches have to be changed in their position and bent. To make the bending possible, the branch is first split and then deformed with the help of raffia and sturdy wire or iron. The long and narrow blades, bent far outwards, allow the wood to be split easily and in a controlled manner. In addition to branches, of course, too strong roots can be split to improve the nebari. There are different designs of branch splitters depending on the thickness of the branch or root.
