These dark brown plastic pots from Japan are suitable for cultivating pre-bonsai for one to two years before they go into ceramic pots. The pots have a lot of small holes in the bottom. This allows excess water to drain down well from the soil substrate. If the soil is fine-grained, you should cover the holes with nets to prevent the soil from trickling out.
