In China, Japan and Taiwan, the Japanese Premna grows as a small tree. Here it is found at higher altitudes and reaches a maximum height of 6 metres. The glossy leaves are very firm and shine in a rich green. They give off a scent that is often compared to that of Serissa.
Care as a bonsai:
