Wound closure agent

Wound closure agent - gray plasticine

Japanese clay is applied to the cut wounds on a bonsai and should slightly cover the edges of the injury. Healing then subsequently takes place under the sealant. In contrast, with the other pastes, the new bark grows over the sealant. Due to its gray color, the plasticine is mainly used for deciduous trees (Fagus, Acer). The plasticine contains additives that accelerate the healing of the wounds.
