Bonsai fertilizers
All green plants can produce carbohydrates from air and water (photosynthesis). However, for growth, flowering and fruiting, other nutrients must be present. These are added to potted plants and especially to a bonsai via special fertilization. Depending on the plant species, season and stage of development, different fertilizers are used.
