Copper wire for bonsai design is soft annealed at a high temperature. As a result, it not only loses its shiny color, but also becomes soft and solidifies again only after the bending process. In addition, compared to aluminum, a smaller copper wire gauge can be used for the same branch thickness. This is a practical and visual advantage especially for junipers, pines or exhibition trees.
